The Beavers from Lea & Slip End Scout Groups have a go at African Drumming They even have a chance to play an Aboriginal Digeridoo Even the Leaders have a go! Digeridoo playing is not easy, but the District Commissioner soon gets the hang of it! ... and the beat goes on! and on ... and on ... it was a very good evening and we'd like to thank Chris for bringing his drums and other instruments. Beavers Build a Dam, Badger leads the welcoming shout At the Annual General Meeting of Leagrave Scout Group they hold an award ceremony for all the sections. This Beaver has won the Beaver of The Year Shield. The beaver scouts are decorating biscuits with icing Not likely, a quick game of sleeping lions! The Beavers prepare their costumes ... The haka is often described as a "war dance", but it is more a chant with hand gestures and foot stamping, originally performed by warriors before a battle, proclaiming their strength and prowess and generally verbally abusing the opposition.
The leaders demonstrate the Haka to the Beavers, you might have seen the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Team performing a Haka before the match? The Beaver Scouts chant the Haka!

The Beavers got up close to some owls The transport police came to visit the Beavers and the Cubs at Leagrave. They made us play some great games and told us the dangers of playing on and near the railway.
