District Boundary Review -
Take 2 |
|
Earlier in the year, it had been reported that no changes were going to
be made to the District Boundaries within Luton. However, with the
recent changes at County level, the review has been revisited. This has
occurred as a result of two of the three Luton District Commissioners
coming to the end of their 5 year term.
A meeting is being arranged between the County Commissioner and the
members of the Icknield & the Lea Valley District Executives, early in
October, to discuss the future of both Districts. |

District Boundary Review -
UPDATE |
|
27th October 2006
A tri-district meeting held on Thursday
26th October 2006 was the first time in 40 years that all members of the
town's executive committee's and district teams had got together.
During the meeting a unanimous vote was
taken to not make any changes to the structures of the three
districts in Luton, until after the Scouting Centenary in 2007.
The search for new District Commissioners
for Lea Valley & for Icknield will now begin.
John Duley, the County Commissioner has
written to all groups in the Town. A copy of that letter can be
downloaded from here: |
