Goodbye Chief

After 25 years of Scouting with Strathmore Scout Group, Chief (Alan Goodman) retires and takes a break. Pictured above, Alan Burnham presents Chief with his leaving present and memento photographs of the current members of Strathmore's Cub Pack and Scout Troop.

Recounting the past 25 years, Alan advised the current Scouts to remember their Scout Promise and the Scout Law in every day life as they get older. Alan has played a pivotal role in Strathmore Scout Group, for many years being Group Scout Leader (a role he first undertook way back in 1981) and Scout Leader. Alan was even the District Commissioner for Lea Valley, but that was a few years back now!

Alan is looking forward to taking a break, having recently retired from work. With members of the District Team on hand to say farewell and best wishes and with all his happy memories, Alan says he will be back to help out in the future and he isn't leaving Scouting altogether, so ...
