Inspiring the

Youth of Today

As an Adult interested in the Scout Movement there are many ways you can help. Being involved in Scouting is both hard work and fun. Over 100,000 adults are regularly involved in the UK as members of the Association and an estimated one million more are involved in a less regular way. You can give as much or as little of your time as you choose.

In Lea Valley alone, there are more than 70 Adult Leaders and Assistants helping to provide Scouting to 240 young members, through 7 Scout Groups and via a dedicated District Team, they invite you to come and join them in 2008.

Although every endeavour is made to keep this list up to date, there may be other opportunities within individual groups in the District for: assistants, helpers, camp cooks, secretaries, group exec members, treasurers, fund raising teams. Even if you don't have the time to make a weekly contribution, you can still help us. Interested? If you would like to join us or know of a young person who wishes to join one of our Scouting sections please fill out and submit our "I want to join the adventure" form.
